Advocacy and Governance

Advocacy & Governance (AG) sector of SAFWCO designs strategies based on rigorous research on social issues and government policies. It brings together stakeholders, from top government officials to those at the grassroots, to participate in reforming old and formulating new policies that drive progress on the Sustainable development goals. The programme promotes behavioral change by influencing communities, organizations, government officials and policy makers.

  • Local Government: capacity building of LG office bearers, active citizens to participate in union council level functions, budgeting and monitoring
  • Access to Justice for providing affordable and quick legal aids to communities and advocate Govt: for ADRS
  • Children rights: stopping the child labor in rural farms and advocate stakeholders for right to education and sports
  • Women rights to decent wages and Fundamental Principles and Rights to Work (FPRW) and Occupational safety and health (OSH)
  • Women rights under CEDAW and other constitutional laws.
